Notes from the author: My idea is that all techniques and manatechs designated as chain attacks can be used in a combo. To begin with there are a few combo-starter techs that of course let you start combos and dictate how many chain techs you can use in the combo. Then there are normal chain attacks. They an be used at anytime after a combo-starter and can be repeated as many times as the combo-starter allows. Then there are combo-finishers which are more powerful attacks that can only be used at the end of a combo. These are generally manatechs where as the others are generally normal techniques.

Description: A combo starter. When selected Cade will preform his normal attack (with chance of crit as always) then attack a second time with a doubled chance to crit.
Tenderizer

Description: A follow-up skill to a combo-starter. After the first chain tech, Cade reels back and delivers a quick flurry of attacks with his Tonfa's blunt ends.

Description: Cade jumps back and with a swing of his weapons, the blades on the tonfa shoot out, attached to zip lines, and cut the enemy several times before returning.

Description: A starter technique that allows for 5 combo hits. After a normal attack, Cade uppercuts the enemy with his tonfa, lifting the enemy into the air slightly. A second uppercut rises the enemy a bit more and then Cade spins around and delivers a powerful upwards roundhouse kicks that sends the enemy high into the air. (At this point enemy becomes vulnerable to aerial attacks.)
